Oh here we go… another company reeling out a thought piece on the application of Artificial Intelligence within their industry, whilst inserting a paragraph that was written by said LLM…
Well, not this time!
6-months ago Project Ark was proud to receive a grant from Innovate UK to build Ark Integrated Assistant (A.I.A) within the Ark ecosystem. Only 5% of applicants are awarded government funding by Innovate UK, it constitutes an amazing mark of trust. This was particularly rewarding given the feedback we received on our grant, as one of the assessors put it, Ark’s Integrated Assistant provides “a much needed development for (responsible) housing providers to offer their tenants quicker and better access to services and thus increase their welfare.”
We couldn’t agree more.
But what is Ark Integrated Assistant?
The column inches and LinkedIn posts around ChatGPT have been like a constant wave in recent months telling us how this is going to change everything and, as technologists, we can’t help but agree.
However, as every post, column, or op-ed has concluded whilst the tech is amazingly impressive, it is the applications that utilise this technology that are going to revolutionise the way people work and interact. Not simply the technology unto and of itself.
That’s where we come in! To utilise the most advanced large language model created, incorporate it as part of our Integrated Assistant, and tangibly improve outcomes for our customers and the residents they serve.
Property, as a sector, has historically been slow to adapt to innovative change - Ark exists to change this by bringing cutting edge to our users TODAY. Allowing them to not just marvel at how cool new technology such as AI is, to then continue using software that is 15 years old, but to put this cutting-edge technology in their hands.
So, how are we doing this?
One of the main issues our customers have is that they simply don’t have enough hours in the day. When this is the case, one of the first things to slip is the amount of time they can give to their customers and their residents.
ArkAI aide’s exactly this problem.
Taking OpenAI’s large language model and adapting it to our clients needs has allowed us to introduce Ark AI to our clients in a relatively short amount of time. By integrating Ark AI into our pre-existing property management platform we can support our property managers in responding to residents more quickly and more accurately, even when they are short of time. This saves them time (up to 6X), increases productivity, and results in better outcomes for their residents. How's that for a win-win?!
And this is just the beginning, as our Innovate UK project progresses, Ark’s Integrated Assistant will positively impact more and more of a property manager’s role.
Just a few of things we have coming up include:
- Automating repetitive and time intensive tasks
- Answering common queries naturally and intelligently
- Spotting patterns in resident behaviour and suggesting actions to aid resident retention and increase tenure lengths
- Using customer ratings to suggest frequency and time of communications
- Learning what engages residents the most and providing prompts to support these initiatives
- Sharing interesting information about the local area meaning your residents are even more connected to where they call home
Put simply, Ark’s Integrated Assistant will reduce administrative burden whilst improving resident satisfaction and increasing tenure lengths. Sounds pretty good, right?
